Welcome to The Clever Chair™. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our products. By placing an order with J M A TRADE CO. LTD, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Basis of Sale

A contract between you and J M A TRADE CO. LTD is only formed when we dispatch your goods. The automated order confirmation email sent upon checkout is an acknowledgement of your request and does not constitute legal acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to cancel orders in the event of pricing errors or stock unavailability.

3. Pre-Orders

As we are currently in the launch phase, items may be sold on a Pre-Order basis.

  • Delivery Estimates: Any provided shipping dates are estimates based on manufacturing schedules.

  • Payment: Payment is taken at the time of pre-order to secure your unit from the upcoming production batch.

  • Delays: We will notify you via email of any significant changes to the estimated delivery timeline.

4. Payment & Klarna Disclosure

We accept major credit/debit cards via Stripe, Google Pay, and Klarna.

Important Klarna Disclosure: In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options: Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days. Payment is to be made to Klarna.

Financial Disclosure: Klarna’s Pay in 3 and Pay in 30 days are unregulated credit agreements. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may negatively impact your financial status and ability to obtain credit. 18+, UK residents only. Subject to status. T&Cs and late fees apply.

5. Prices and VAT

All prices displayed on the website are inclusive of UK VAT at the prevailing rate (20%) unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout.

6. Right to Cancel & Returns (Consumer Sales)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

  • To exercise this right, you must inform us at info@thecleverchair.com.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging and in a resalable condition.

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.

  • For pre-orders, the 14-day window begins from the date of physical delivery.

7. Commercial and Trade Orders (B2B)

Orders placed via our Commercial Inquiry form or by a business entity are classified as Business-to-Business (B2B) transactions.

  • Cancellations: The 14-day consumer "Right to Cancel" does not apply to B2B orders.

  • Invoicing: Commercial orders will be issued a formal Proforma Invoice. Goods will not be dispatched until cleared funds are received via bank transfer.

  • Returns: Returns for bulk orders are only accepted in the case of manufacturing defects.

8. Warranty and Faulty Goods

If your product develops a manufacturing fault within the first 12 months, please contact us for a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
